The Bike Asylum is proud to offer an indoor cycling program during the offseason. Currently we have classes on Tuesday evenings at 7pm, Saturday mornings at 8am, and specified Thursday evenings at 7pm (see sign-up sheet for details). led by a certified indoor cycling instructor.
Our program is geared toward the outdoor cycling enthusiast, and is not simply a cardio workout. Using your own bike for this program ensures a proper fit and familiarity with the gearing system.
We have 10 Tacx Satori smart trainers available for use with your own bicycle, paired to your own smartphone to display speed, cadence and power. Bicycle storage is free should you need it.
Each class is $15 and lasts approximately one hour. A trainer tire is required, and are available for $59.99 should you need one.
Classes start on Saturday, November 4, at 8am. Plenty of free parking in the rear of the store (see map at the bottom of this page), use back entrance. Participants must sign a waiver to be eligible to participate.
Consult your physician before starting any exercise program. Bring water and a towel. Bathroom and changeroom facilities are available; unfortunately we do not have shower facilities available. Please arrive early to ensure you are ready to go at the start time listed for the class.

About our instructor:
Deirdre Casey has been involved in triathlon and endurance sport as a coach and athlete for over 20 years. Following an active youth that included playing competitive tennis and skiing she started competing in multisport purely to stay fit. Deirdre believes that each of us has an inner athlete just waiting to get out – she has extensive experience working with ‘newbie’ triathletes and first time Ironman athletes. Her specialty lies in developing emerging athletes and helping them to realize their goals and dreams.
Deirdre has completed numerous triathlons and marathons with podium finishes in many – after qualifying for and running the Boston marathon she moved on to iron distance triathlon.
